My friend,
You can look on Donovan6k Blog site to study and understand, but He didn't make a Tutorial
about this things as He didn't prepared Firmware for users !
He has done only for himself on HP laptop, so what can I say . . . here is Donovan :

http://donovan6000.blogspot.it/2013/06/i...lists.html

Here is a Tutorial made on X230 :

https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-T...ware-Flash

But in your case You have to read the Eeprom Chip and get a Firmware Full Dump . . .
It's a 8192 KB file and then You have to patch the Bios Region about the Whitelist at last You
have to rewrite Back into Eeprom Chip the Firmware file !
As You understood your Bios Backup is only a chunk of full Firmware :

http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte/548...mware.html

So I can patch this chunk but You have to look where to replace into Firmware.
To extract the Module You can use PMT 259 from here and look for this Module :

11D378C2-B472-412F-AD87-1BE4CD8B33A6_1834.ROM

To unlock Menu Tabs look for this :

FE3542FE-C1D3-4EF8-657C-8048606FF670_858.ROM

Make the modifies and then repack the Firmware file using PMT 2.59 and
Rewrite into Eeprom Chip !

http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads...EFI-BIOSes

Let me know
Regards

P.S. It more easy to read Firmware Dump from chip and upload It here where I will modify for You !

Do I definitely need those tools to connect to the chip directly? or is it a matter of running a FW update to the BIOS?
I have version 76cn43ww and the most recent wifi card intel 7265NGWR
