[REQUEST] MCP61PM-AM BIOS Unlock (Acer, Gateway, Emachines)
#21
yeah, you can add microcode support if the bios doesnt have it but socket wise an am2+ chip would be compatible, you would just have slower HT speeds than a am2+certified board.

Do you know how well an am2+ quad core like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6819103288 would compare to my athlon 64 x2 5000+ ?
Also do you know if it will just work as soon as i plug it in or will i need to go through a lot of options and settings first.

is there any options for changing voltages in my bios ? i cant find them either and to overclock to what i want im going to need to add about .25 volts i think

It does show a frequency/voltage control menu, but nothings in it. Ill look a bit more carefully and see what I can cook up.

I think thats the one i see that is just like an info page. It shows the psu outputs and bus speeds but i cant even selct them to change them.

Hi there! I was needing an unlocked bios for overclocking my Emachines T5062 computer cpu.

I have a MCP61PM-AM 1.0 rev A3 Gateway/Emachines 6a61ke11c-00 Mobo.

I backed up the bios on my com and have attached it to this thread.

If there is any more info you need please let me know.

Thanks in advance. Smile

Just wondering if you have found anything yet ? Im still trying to figure this out becuase without more voltage im stuck at 2.8 and i cant even notice any real performance improvement yet so i think i need to get to 3.0 at least. Vista rating went up .1 but thats the only thing that seems to have changed.

Yes, this bios is a pretty interestingly layed out bios, but Im having trouble finding a light at the end of the tunnel for voltage, still looking.

ive tried software to do it but it resets as soon as i run anything

Have you tried the NVIDIA OC tool, cant remember the name. Anyhow ill try to give things a final look over to see if there isnt any other way.

Well, I have been working with this on another thread, if you havent been reading, but I will treat your case seprate because of mobo revisions. Anayway, from the oe Im working on now it seems the RAM and fsb are already shown up as available. Even if they do or don't I will still look into your bios and get back ASAP.

Tthanks for your patience,
TheWiz
