REQUEST Supervisor Password Removal Satellite Pro C660-29W
#1
Hi All,

I have recently changed my motherboard. However, there is a supervisor password on the bios preset by the manufacturer. And I cannot change anything from BIOS, I really need to change my boot sequence to be able to format my laptop. The password is not known by the motherboard seller also. I tried updating the Bios from an update which I obtained on the Toshiba Support website. However, since I already have the same version installed it would not flash it. So can someone please help me with a mod bios which can:
1. Firstly remove the password as well and

2. Secondly disable the version check so that I can proceed with the installation even though the existing bios is of the same version as the one to be installed.

The following are my laptop details and bios version

Toshiba satellite Pro C660-29W

CPU Intel Core i5 2410M

8GB DDR3 Ram

BIOS: AMI BIOS - Aptio Setup Utility
System Bios ver: 1.50
EC Version: 1.50

The update was downloaded from the following link:

http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-file...170135.zip

Your help will be highly appreciated. Thank you

Hi, Thank you very much for your help. I have already tried this method, but it does not work. It does rest my time and date, but keeps the password.

I have also tried the cmospwd method to kill cmos. but it does not work on 64 bit systems.

Please help me with the bios mod method if possible. Thank you
