[Removed, 45CN38WW] Whitelist Removal Lenovo Z570
#1
I searched, but didn't find if this Bios has been whitelisted before. I noticed a Bios mod was done for previous versions, but not for this version (Sept 2011 was the latest that I've found). They have since updated their BIOS in November

I don't have another PCI ID just yet. This means I would like to use any card after this mod, basically a complete removal of whitelist restrictions.

My old PCI id is 0084-8086...Intel Wifi Link 1000 BGN

I had no idea of this problem until after installing a better WiFi minicard I got the deeply dispiriting BIOS "unsupported adapter" error. However Googling brought me to this site. I downloaded this modified BIOS and flashed my Z570.

Installed Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 Dual Band WIFI+Bluetooth Wireless Combo Mini Card.
- booted up fine
- latest Intel drivers installed
- hardware WiFi adapter on/off switch works
- WiFi indicator light works
- Bluetooth works
- Intel Wireless Display works

All round achieved all I wanted to with this upgrade.
Cool! Cool
Where do I dontate?
[Edit]Just read your sig, beer money on its way - thanks!

Tell me please,
What BIOS is more stable: sp55299_NWL_ByCamiloml.exe or sp50942_NWL_By_Camiloml.exe????

When I installed 55299 version, at first it was ok. But the next day, when booting a PC, I pressed and held the power button. And when the icon loading the operating system, the laptop is turned off. Then, when you try to turn the notebook heats up noise, but the BIOS will not boot. I had to flash using the programmer in the service center.
Could this be the cause of unstable firmware?
PS: Sorry for my english)

Neither! Those BIOS files are for the HP Pavilion dv7 (or dv6) Notebook PC Series

Is your laptop an HP Pavilion dv7 or is it a Lenovo Z570?

If it is a Lenovo Z570 (which is what this thread is all about) then the reason you have problems is you flashed the wrong BIOS file for your computer!!

For the Z570 you need "45CN38WW_NWLByCamiloml.exe" which you can download using the link in the second post above and repeated below for your convenience.

I am running a Lenovo Z570 using ubuntu linux. I wanted to flash to the 45CN38WW_NWL_ByCamiloml.exe bios. Is there a way to do this through linux without having to install windows.

Thank You.

Thanks for the bios. It appears that I can't boot from a usb drive anymore. If I flash it back to the original firmware I am able to boot from a usb. It just flashes back to the boot screen if I select a USB.
