		Hi,

I'm hoping to find a BIOS with no whitelist for my Lenovo Ideapad S10-3s - I have searched the forum and google, but haven't been able to find anything.

The reason why I'm wanting this, is that I'm going to experiment with OSX86, and the standard Wifi card isn't recognised to OSX.

Thanks in advance,

Kim

1. Please send Link to original bios
2. RW - Report http://jacky5488.myweb.hinet.net/bin/RwV...ortable.7z
Open RWEverything.

After RWEverything Opens, click ACCESS - ACPI Tables.

When ACPI Tables opens, click anywhere within the ACPI Window.

Now click CONTROL + F2 to save the entire table.

Save this Report to the desktop WITHOUT CHANGING THE NAME and attach this file to your post

I wait your news
Just a quick question: How do I flash that BIOS?

When I run the .exe file, it unpacks into the C:\BIOS folder, and inside that one is an .exe file and another folder called BIOS.

What do I do?

Ok, I ran the file as administrator, the flashing program started and ran, and then it stopped with an error saying that the BIOS wasn't compatible with the system.

Theorically nothing, upon extraction the 2ACN37WW.exe file should have been launched and that choose correct image to be flashed.

try running it manually

Hmmm, maybe i missed the file, now at lenovo page gives me another bios for ideapad S10 not that 2ACN37WW but 14CN94WW

Maybe that's why flashing didn't start, because 2ACN37WW doesn't fit your machine.
Next time provide a link to your bios update and that problem will not happen.

Yeah, I noticed that as well - I've linked the ACPI output file from RWEverything, and the link to the original BIOS is: http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/dk/en/..._4479.html

		Will look at it now

Is your machine DDR2 or DDR3 based?

http://www.bios-mods.com/BIOS/Whitelists...miloml.exe
It's dos based, so you will need to make a FreeDOS bootable pendrive and unpack into it, then boot FreeDOS and flash from there.

		No need
Seems that, when I opened the netbook, the memory was DDR3!

So I went ahead and flashed the sucker, and it works perfectly!

Thank you so much for your help, you're the man - and a wee contibrution is on your way
