at the moment is an intel 1000 installed

How do I flash the bios? Do I have to worry about losing my SLIC? My laptop came with a Windows 7 Pro license and that is good enough for me.

i don't know if you loose the slic but this is no problem.
if you loose your slic, you could flash the original bios from lenovo and all is ok

when I try your file I get the following error message:
"Failed to retrieve system BIOS information. BCPSYS block signature was not found. Error code: -100"
