Reprogramming Bios !!

Hello !!

I have a Notebook that is fail by Bios Update. Still now i have desolder the chip and try to reprogramming the chip. But after that i tryed i found that this Notebook has Dual Bios Chip. Has anyone of you guys experiences with that kind of Bios and Chips ?

Yes, often one is BIOS and one is EC or ME/FD etc. Dump both chips before you write anything and let me see them (Don't write until I tell you OK, otherwise you might erase important data, if your first dumps aren't good then chance to get it will be lost if you write)

Hello !!

I haven't make a Dump of the Chip, because i have think that is already damaged by Bois-Update. So my question, is it already all lost or what you think, is it any possibility to rescue anything ?

This does not matter, dump both chips and confirm the files are not all FF or 00 with hex, before you write anything to the chips.
This is always step one of BIOS recovery, even if corrupted you may be able to salvage your board specific details from the files (Serial, UUID, LAN MAC ID etc).

That is why this is done, and to be able to rebuild a BIOS to recover, dump from both is required too, since you will have to re-write both, a BIOS is build from the total size of both chips, then split and programmed into each chip.

So, see my post #2 again and follow along so we can get this sorted out for you.

Desoldering is not required, you can purchase SIOC8 test clip w/ cable to use with your programmer, here is an example

Sorry, i'm little bit late, but i wane tell you guys, that i'm already found the problem. The chip was brocken or damaged. I have some old motherboards there i have search for the same chip and lucky i'm found the same one. I programming the chip and solder it back and it works again.
