Is there any way to support the Xeon E3 1230 V2 LGA 1155 for the Dell a optiplex 790 MT? I’ve been looking for a successful answer and the Dell Forums didn’t help at all. I bought the Dell Optiplex 790 MT originally with an i3-2130, I also bought the Xeon for upgrading. Thanks!

I Have a Xeon E3 1230 (v1 ) working in a Dell 790 but that is a Sandybridge processor. latest bios A22 supports this well

What tool can be used to modify this bios? I don't think it ia AMI (the only one I can do yet). I did dump via clip, so would like to have a look into it. BTW I also got Xeon for it, I assume that it will work even without mod after reading previous post, but I'm the one that wants all options available and wants to learn.
