[Request] HP, V2Z44AV, M.2 Sata Unlock Port

Hi guys..

I recently got an HP 17 inch laptop. 2016 model

It would seem the M.2 Sata port options are disabled if you did not get the SSD option from the factory.


Is this a Hidden menu issue, or a white list issue..

They finally posted the bios file on the HP support site..

This feels like it's worse than whitelisting... just plain ffffing with the end user...

Gave them $800 for this thing,  and they're thinking, NOPE, not enuff...

If you downgrade to F.05 BIOS, does it see the M.2 drive?

F.09 Rev. A BIOS update unlocks the M.2 port. Download from HP. My Pavilion 17 can see an M.2 SATA disk now.
