[Request] VGN-AR61M R2080J8 Unlocking Request
#1
Lightbulb
Hello;

I have a Sony Vaio VGN-AR61M, But its lcd is broken since two years. It does not give any signal to external monitor until windows starts. So i cannot format / reinstall windows in it. I had no hope until i saw this thread post#3

http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Sony-VGN-AR760U-Unlocked-hidden-options-EIST-Unlocked

I downloaded the bios and with phoneix bios editor saw that, with that bios i can set the default output to crt with the unlocked advanced menu. Sınce it has the same version ( but different laptop model ) i've managed to flash it successfully. But i cannot see the bios settings since i have no lcd and no output to external monitor until windows starts. Then looked at phoenix bios editor emulator and tried to follow the exact sequence to reach that settings ( Advanced -> Workaround Control Sub-Menu -> Video (Intel IGD) Control Sub Menu -> IGD - Boot Type ) blindly and save, but i couldnt manage to make the default output to CRT.

Then i saw this thread post#10

http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Sony-Vaio-VGN-AR630E-R2080J8-Intel-VT-x-Enabled-Post-7

He also flashed the same bios on a different model than shared. And saw that he has no "Video (Intel IGD) Control Sub Menu" under "Workaround Control Sub-Menu" (but i can see it in the phoenix bios editor emulator ) so i thought thats caused by flashing the bios to a different model. So i decided to make a new request for AR61M bios which i got backup while flashing that shared bios.

Can someone please unlock at least "Video (Intel IGD) Control Sub Menu" -> "IGD - Boot Type" step for me and make it default to CRT, so i can have the default output to CRT monitor of my no-lcd laptop.

Thank you very much, appreciate your help
