Request for Updates Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4
#1
Question
Hi There,

I'd very much appreciate someone creating a new modded BIOS for GA-EX58-UD4 BIOS Version 11r and updateing the Intel RAID Option ROM to 10.1.0.1008 and the Realtek Gigabit Option ROM to 2.38.

Thanks in advance Smile

I attached the 11r BIOS...

Intel Matrix RAID 10.1
Intel AHCI 1.20E_0027
JMicron JMB363 1.08.01
Realtek PXE 2.37

Feel free to use/link/host any BIOS I post, no credit necessary. However, this is at your own risk and I take no responsibility. Always keep a backup of a known-good BIOS. Don't flash a motherboard if you don't have a backup computer just in case.

Always use RAID mode. RAIDFix

Ok.. quick update...

The JMicron and Realtek ROMs appear to be working fine (I see they are loading) However, the Intel ROM doesn't..

Both in AHCI and in RAID mode the BIOS doesn't even load the ROM..
so obviously - no drivers.. and no boot..

I reverted back to the original 11r BIOS which uses AHCI ROM 1.20E and RAID 8.9.0.1023..

Anyone wants to try to create Intel Matrix v10.0.0.1046 or 9.6.0.1014 ??
I'd give it a go and see if and how they work..

Attached is the Intel Matrix ROM v10.0.0.1046

Thanks Smile

One with IMR 10, and one with 10.1, both with the stock AHCI. If we still need to try a lower version of IMR then we can do that next.

Hey There,

Any chance someone could create a new BIOS for me using version 11T
and updated option ROMS ?
Please leave Intel SATA AHCI 1.20E ROM (trying to replace it didn't work last time)
upgrade Intel RAID with version 10.5.1.1070
Realtek Ethernet ROM 2.41
Jmicron SATA with ROM 1.07.28

Much appreciated Smile

I'm not going to modify every version of the beta BIOS that they release. I'll consider it when they release the final version (one without a letter attached to it).

for GA-EX58-UD4P (rev. 1.0), I used the F14P version dated 2011/01/28 and made the following changes:

ICH10R southbridge - v13.1.0.2030
8111D ethernet - rtegrom259.lom
SATA2 chip - jmb362_C_1.07.28
AHCI-pchahci_1.20E

The AHCI was the same size as the original so it probably has not changed.
I do not have this MB so I have no means of testing the mod so proceed at risk; however, there is great similarity to the GA-EP45-UD3p and GA-EP45T-USB3P which I've modded with the above changes that I feel confident it should work. In addition, I compared the updates to DANSOLO's earlier work and the same changes were previously made.

The Intel RAID OROM will work with the latest 13.0.0.1098 RST
