[SOLVED] FX 8350 on ASUS M5A78L-M LX3
#1
Can someone make the FX 8350 supportedon the ASUS M5A78L-M LX3 board? It keeps saying that the CPU is not supported, but hilariously enough it works to some extend normally.

Does someone have a modded BIOS around?

Post screenshots of first (CPU) & third (Mainboard) tabs of CPU-Z with current CPU.
Show a photo of error "the CPU is not supported".

You should put some heatsink on the VRM FETs. I had the board recently, it runs very hot with 125W CPUs as the official support is only for 95W CPUs. Or stick some of that heat-conducting silicone rubber between the board bottom side and the case MB tray to transfer the heat to it. Best would be to do both Big Grin

If you do neither, you will kill the board quite soon.

Hello everyone! Recently, I bought a processor and a motherboard and gave me the next error.

Motherboard model: Asus m5a78l-m-lx3
Processor model: Phenom II x4 945 3.00 GHz

If I press F2, it starts and works perfectly but I do not know how to deal with that error. I did update to bios but the same.
