Greetings from Australia everyone. New to the forum and have been attempting to unlock the 'Advanced' menus on my Sony Vaio BIOS.
It is an early AMI Aptio, dated 2007. Version 1 from what I can gather.
Following the tutorials here, I managed to backup the existing BIOS, change the required menus to USER, then successfully upload the new image using an AFU utility.
Upon rebooting though, the menus in question have not unlocked.
I did a secondary backup of the BIOS, and rechecked the changes I had made. They were definitely reflecting the changes to USER.
Could anyone kindly offer any suggestions as to what I have missed, or if at all possible, have a look at the original and my modified files attached.
