Hello laryd2000,

Your BIOS mod is complete! The modified BIOS image can be found at the bottom of this post. You may need to rename the modified BIOS image within the archive to "bios.wph" before flashing it.

While I did not technically "add" anything, I performed a 'nop' on the functions that were hiding the menus that were supposed to be appearing in your BIOS. You should now see 4 new parent menus (INTEL, TPM State, Physical Presence operations, Debug). I also rearranged the new menus.

Generic Warnings/Disclaimers:
Quote:Please remember to take proper precautions when flashing your BIOS. Even if the image is safe, the flashing process can still fail. Make sure that (if applicable) your notebook is fully charged (100%), the power plug is properly connected, and that the chance of the power going out is as minimal as possible. Do not interrupt the flashing process. If possible, it is a good idea to have a working CRISIS recovery disk when messing with your BIOS. Use the flashing instructions for your particular computer brand. DO NOT DO ANYTHING UNNECESSARY!!!

I take absolutely NO responsibility for ANY damages that may occur to you, your computer, your personal belongings, your neighbor's cat, or any other personnel or equipment as a direct or indirect result/consequence of your, or any one else's, use or misuse of any of the files that are in this archive at the present or at any time in the past or the future. You assume full responsibility for any damages or inconveniences that may occur by choosing to flash, or otherwise use or misuse, this image or any of the other files within this archive.

Have fun! Smile

Please remember to post the results of the BIOS flash. A picture of the Main Menu would be especially helpful. Additional pictures (outside of the Main Menu) can help me to verify that nothing else is hidden by default in your BIOS menus.

It's working !!!!

I'll make a donation after payday. Thanks a lot.

But if someone breaks my limitation to support 4GB of memory, the reward will be substantial.

Hello laryd2000,

I am glad that it worked! Thank you for posting the picture.

This BIOS mod should not break the 4GB limit. If you have a 32-bit CPU without 36-bit PAE (Physical Address Extentions), then your computer will not be able to address more than 4GB of physical memory. 32-bit Windows 7 however, supports up to 64GB of physical memory (with a few kernel modifications...) (you still have to have the right CPU and chipset though).

Hello laryd2000,

After school, I will do some research on your computer to see how it could be upgraded. One question: What operating system are you using (including the instruction set (32-bit, 64-bit))?
