The [data-1] file is a win32 com-module loaded by the update-executable and is executed via the rules in the .data- and the .rdata-file. The .rsrc-file generates the checksum, the TEXT is help and menues and the CERTIFICATE is what it is called. Maybe that helps a bit...

you have to apply the BIOS-Update, than take a complete backup wich you can edit
but you have to edit the certificate and regenerate a checksum before flashing
back...
