Sony Vaio VGN-UX 280P Unlocked hidden options
#1
Hi everybody!

I have a VGN-UX 280P,need this bios unlocked "R0073N2"

Not if I have to provide more data.Undecided

If you can unlock something, please tell me.

Thank you very much to all.

PD/One question, previously installed in another Sony Vaio UX 280P R0112N2 Mod BIOS, but removing the battery died (black screen), probably is not really compatible with this model (there is no bios for the UX 280P R0112N2).

The question is, can be recovered by flashing the BIOS via USB?

Is it possible?

thank you very much

Hi,

The other modified BIOS is actually for Sony VAIO VGN-UX390N. I'll modified BIOS R0073N2 for your Sony VAIO VGN-UX280P. Please post full specification, including chipset & processor name. From this information, I'll decided whether I need to unlocked EIST or not. With EIST unlocked, you can enabled dual-IDA mode if you have supported/compatible hardware.

Based on this & this, BIOS R0073N2 is for VGN-UX180P & VGN-UX280P.

(P/S: You should make a request at request section. You'll get better attention there. Anyway, I already saw your post, so no need to post at the request section anymore.)

If you use my modified BIOS image & you like it, please consider making a donation. Thank you very much. Smile

Hello Kizwan.

Thanks for answering.Smile

I let down the specifications of the VAIO UX 280P:

CPU type=Intel Core Solo U1400
CPU speed = 1200 Mhz
Grafics = Intel GMA 950
OS = Windows XP Pro
Display Size = 4.5 "1024 X 600
LED Display Type
RAM = 1GB
Hard Disk=128GB SSD

Thanks for the work, take your time.

Ok, should draw the other to request the BIOS post, sorry.

Thanks again.

OK. Noted. Unfortunately VGN-UX280P have IntelĀ® 945GMS chipset. Unfortunately, this chipset doesn't support Intel Dynamic Acceleration (IDA). IDA only supported on Santa Rosa (PM965/GM965) & Montevina (GM45/PM45) platforms only, of course with supported processor.

Anyway, I'll unlocked any useful hidden menu available in the BIOS for you. ETA in a couple of days. Thank you for your patience. Smile

Thanks Kizwan.

In the previous UX 280P could turn up the sharing of graphics RAM from 128 MB to 224 MB with BIOS UX Mod 390.

That's all I've done.

Thank you for your work Kizwan.

Quote:NOTES: Under "Workaround Control Sub-Menu", there are a lot of sub-menus. Please be careful with it. If your computer doesn't boot after changing something in the sub-menu, you will need to disconnect the CMOS/RTC battery to reset CMOS back to default. To do so, you will need to open your notebook casing.

Please make sure your notebook can recover corrupted BIOS with CRISIS disk before flashing BIOS with this modified BIOS image. I will not responsible for any problem. Good luck. Smile
