I'm trying to do the same thing for another notebook, I've modded the bios with AMIBCP as you guys have done. But I'm unsure if I should flash it. I thought AMIBCP would corrupt the bios, wouldn't it?

Did you guys have to use anything else like a hex editor or mmtool to do this mod or did you only use AMIBCP?

Also which version of AMIBCP?
I have version 4.50.0.36.

looking for an unlocked version with advanced features of r1120y6 bios aswell.
You can download the original bios files here http://www.sony-mea.com/support/download/430358 and extract them with 7zip.
If someone can unlock it, i would really appreciate it.

No, AMITool doesn't corrupt MY BIOS. Even though as I checked md5 sums are different in 2 same BIOSes but 1 of them was Saved As and another one just Saved (to the current file). But both worked fine on my.
