Cheers kasar. I'm looking at the setup module of the Sony Tiano now - If pyr0 does get back to you, ask him which specific hex offset (address) in the setup module did he modify, so I'll see if there's something in our PhoenixDell modules which is similar.

A more pertinent question to ask the InsydeH20 team (or really anyone who understands UEFI & Tiano Bioses) is the following:

- Does the PhoenixDell UEFI BIOS have a VSS table? If so, where is it??

I ......just tried the attached A11BIOS on my L502X
and...
I Cannot get my laptop started,its power-light is on and the Capslock is on....
What should I do?
Call dell service?
Is there anything I can do to make up?

Argh mate - read the red line. It's for the L511z not L502x!!

You're going to have to call Dell Service unless anyone here has the recovery method for the dell laptop.

Ok alex (and anyone who's ever used my mods) - I've uploaded the latest patched A11 to the site. Works fine and cool with my 15z on Win8 RTM, and even cooler on Mint/Lion.

@Ahmed - any updates on decrypting the strings on the setup module? I'll have time to look into it this week as well so let me know if you've found any offsets worth looking into!

Big Thanks for update!!! and one question ..what configuration of 15z do you have? my i7 2620m reachs 60 degree quickly when using browser like chrome or IE with flash(((
the situation is like TimeWalker described. but any way a11 mod is the best I used.

same as yours alex - 2720m. The reason why chrome & ie increase cpu load is because of flash, which I hate with a passion.

I've ended up disabling most unnecessary plugins on windows - though my preferred OSes (and much cooler - 40C) are OSX & Linux.

So A11 works best for you?

A11 is the best I think...the main disadvantage of using A10 was constant fan running...I can turn off fans using speedfan utility (http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php) when temp. is over 60 degree but A10 turn on fan again after some seconds..
A08 and A11 doesnt turn on fan and I continue to work without fan at over 60 degree..The sensor only react to value 60 but not to value over 60...then sensor react to value over 75-80...i dont rememder...anyway It would be great to change this values..
