Unlock Alienware 17 R3 Bios
#1
I was wondering if anybody could point me to a guide to unlocking my bios to enable overclocking and whitelist removal (i think there is one) that isn't on mydigitallife.com. I keep getting flagged as a bot. Or if you don't mind doing it for me.

Thank You

Here is A10 and A12 BIOS mods previously unlocked by someone else (unsure who, where, when ect)
If you have BIOS newer than A12 and you want it unlocked, let me know and I can do for you

Just to throw this out there the are 3 alienware's 17

Mine is the M17 r3 from 2014
This one takes a proprietary external dock for gpu upgrades

The M17x r3 is from 2011
This one has MXM

The m17 (lowercase) is the new one form this model year (2018)
Its an ultra light with a Dell created MXM replacement modular card and the same dock as mine

Dell must have been barking up Apples tree with this stupid naming system.

Here is the bios @genius239 asked me to rerip with a EFI backup tool

If anybody wants to help. Thank You

Just to clairfy, Dell's naming system is a dumpster fire. Sorry for the confusion

So, do you need the above one you linked unlocked too, or you got it unlocked from Genius239 already?

If I edit the stock BIOS everyone can use it, if I edit your dumped BIOS via FPT or whatever "EFI Tool" means then it may be system specific and only you could use the BIOS (Would have your serial, LAN MAC possibly, UUID etc)

Kind of. They sent me a modified bios, didn't tell me how to flash it and asked me to rerip them. I am going to have to PM them back and find out what they want me to do.
