Hey guys, im new to the forum... Highly interest in supporting/contributing to this specif one as my laptop/hackintosh is the Acer S3-391-6046. Im down for any request to physically mod my machine; im in NYC .

Hi,

Im new to this forum and to BIOS modding.

I read a lot of posts and searched trough many requests, but did not get clear answer about Aspire S3 BIOS mods.

I have 371 version but it seems that it has the same bios as 391.

Can it be done without that spi programmer? And which version should I get? I need access to CPU OC and temperature settings, fan control...

Also I wanted to upgrade my bios to official 2.17 for windows 8 (as I understood it will make easier to use mods) but in hex editor, could not find needed string (as in tutorial).
