please post a bios link and we can take a look - possibly the onboard ROM controller for hard drives might just need replacing with a newer version Smile

well here my man you shall have that link xD ,

the download link for the bios

http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/eula/info_eng2.asp

and a 2nd link to the specs of my laptop

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.chip.de%2Fprodukte%2FToshiba-Satego-X200-21U_29234762.html

i hope yall can help out ive been surfing the entire net and havent found a solution people talk about ahci instead ide but my laptop bios doesnt have any ide or ahci settings

but the chipset supports it since its a Mainboard
Intel PM965,im counting on you guys your the only ones that can help me out with this i mean its rediculous i go into my bios it shows in the first page hdd o and hdd 1 one wich is my hdd and the other the ssd ,now the funny thing is its nowhere in the boot devices menu only shows everything else including my hdd but no ssd -,-´, and windows 7 x64 ultimate detects it to running fine in windows 7 but i want to use it as a os drive or i wouldnt have had bought the ssd ,just using it for storage is stupid since running it off the os from the mechanical hdd slows its read and write speeds to like 30 mb a sec, yeah sucks,by the way i got sata I yet shouldnt be a problem since its backwards compatible and if im not mistaken its a phoenix labs bios -,-´ yeah theres an entire new level of horror oh noeeeeeesssss!!!!,thanks again and peace

seems theres a problem with copying toshiba download links - oh well i managed to find it anyway Tongue

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this bios doesnt have an option rom which is the hard drive controller , therefore we cant do anything! The usual resolution for something like this would be to upgrade the onboard RAID controller rom to a newer version.

Sorry
