please help me with bios insyde (sony vaio)
#1
Hello!

I am not sure if this is the correct place to post my problem but I am so desperate I need your help please.

I have a sony vaio VGN-CS11S and I tried to upgrade slic from 2 to 2.1.
Initially, I had version R0260Q2 and I found a SLIC 2.1 of R0290Q2...
Everything worked fine with new bios but i was unable to activate windows.
So I asked help and someone send me another version of R0290Q2 which has ACPI disabled.

As a result, windows 7 doesnt boot.
I cannot start windows setup (they complain about non ACPI Hardware).
I cannot flash using command prompt and flashit.exe because of FADT Error (ACPI related).

So my only solution is to recovery it using the bios recovery function key and usb thumb.

Can someone please confirm me

1) what is the correct filename I need to the USB pen
2) what is the correct key combination (fn+esc, etc) to start the bios recovery procedure.

I am begging for help. In one day I am leaving for vacation and I have no working laptop.

Please help me!

Have you tried flashit.exe with /F parameter?

BIOS REPOSITORY.Please consider donating (me or forum) if you like my work.
Please remember to come back and leave feedback. I hate leech and disappear thing.

Nice day.

well, flashit doesnt work in general. Even flashit /h
It returns an error about FADT. Maybe because of the ACPI lack of the bios Sad

any more ideas?

well, flashit.exe as EXECUTABLE file doesnt run.
Flashit.exe (without arguments)
flashit.exe /h
flashit.exe ROM /all
flashit.exe ROM /f
flashit.exe ROM /mc

return the same error: FADT not found!
