Hi all...
I've been searching the net for some guides to modding bioses and found some about AMI and AWARD, but insydeh2o didn't come up in there...
Also, since it's THE core-component of my lappy, I'm not quite happy to try it myself. Therefor I'm hoping some kind soul over here could mod the bios for me... Big Grin Pretty please Rolleyes
I've added the necessary info as I thought was necessary...
Ask me anything if it's needed Smile
Thanks a lot!

Hi,

thanks for the very quick response!
I wanted to test it, but wanted to make the recovery usb-stick to make sure I would have a failsafe if the flash went wrong...
I foound the instructions, but I can't decide/find out which bios-file I should put on the memorystick
There is 30F4F2C0 and 30F4F2C1
Both equal in size... I know 30F3F2C is't the right one, so it comes down to these two...
Can you point me out how to find which one is the right one?
I appreciate the help, very much!

Modifying a bios is different than knowing anything about it....I don't have one clue of which of those 3 files to use since I know nothing of the computer nor the bios file.

This how you should have flashed the bios and it would have found the correct file for you: flash bios in windows using insydeflash.exe - right click on this file and run as administrator and follow on0-screen instructions.

Well,
I tried...
however, I had to rename insydeflash to insideflash.exe
the flash started.
Notebook rebooted
Flash unsuccesfull...
I tried the 30F4F2C0 file, renamed as instructions stated to 30F4.bin on a FAT32 mem-stick
rebooted as instructed, but kept searching... Next up, 30F4F2C1 file... We'll see what'll happen next...
I'll keep u posted...
I am however wondering why the flash went wrong... Did it pick the wrong file? Guess you don't have a clue how to do it right?
Thanks for your help however Smile
Well,
I recovered from the bad flash with sincere gratitude to marcus Gray...
Here's why
I used the 30F4F2C0.fd file and renamed it to 30F3.bin, onto the Fat32 mem-stick; windows-B keys when power on and flash went perfect...
Now I'll try same method with your modified file... Guess that should work too...
I'll report in a minute Smile

I am trying to figure out why you are renaming the bios files to .BIN....you should not do that....leave it with the .FD extension.....

And you did not need to rename insydeflash to insydeflash.exe.....I am confused with this renaming of files.
