I've just recently registered but what is the model number of your sony laptop, abhijeetveer?

My brother's Sony Vaio vpceb44fx laptop has BIOS version R1170y8 dated 1/23/2011 and has AHCI enabled but there are no bios options to either turn on or turn off AHCI.

Let me know if you need to update bios from R1140y8 to R1170y8.

note to OP (itrescuer), do you know what models of EA/EB/EC laptops have bios version R1190y8? I can't find that version anywhere on the web.

Thanks for the files however I'm not familiar with using AFU. I have downloaded the 3 files in your link and extracted them, but when I click one the AFU.EXE files nothing is happening. What am I doing wrong?
