i am trying to get my x3363 working with a dc7800 but my bios version is v1.35 and I can't downgrade the bios to older than v1.32. Can you help me with downgrading the bios?
Hello!

Bad luck, dear. You cannot downgrade version to 1.26 with using software instruments. You can use hardware way only. I don't have such experience, but colleagues from agansk.ru suggested to unplug bios chip from motherboard and flash firmware directly via special programming device.
If you live in Russia i can send you 7800 (SFF, small form factor) motherboard for free. Smile

Hello!

What is a current version of your BIOS? Actually i don't understand, your PC works now or not? And what is a purpose of BIOS upgrade/downgrade, you also want to install Xeon processor?

Best regards,
iliya

Dear friends,
I had the same problem with HP DC7800 and Intel Xeon X3363:

Actually it's not a big problem, but there is one more hardware bug, cpu fan's speed is maximum and noise is very huge, it makes me angry. Smile
...
..and solved it with DeathBringer's help (thank you very much):
(01-03-2020, 11:09 AM)DeathBringer Wrote: [ -> ]Try this way:
1. Download this file and extract all files into bootable USB stick with DOS.
2. Boot from USB stick with DOS and run FlashBin.exe.

But I still can't start because of new error during booting:
2223-EIT Failure. VT must be enabled to launch VA.

I activated VT in BIOS, but next time I've got new error:
2224-EIT Failure Embedded Security must be available to launch VA

But I can't find any menu in BIOS regarding to "Embedded Security".
Could you please help to solve this issue.

Make a screenshot of regedit with expanded key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor\0
Do Load Defauts in BIOS after CPU replacement. Save and reboot.
Go to BIOS -> Security -> Device Security and make a photo.
DeathBringer,
Thank you for your answer.
Now it is impossible to run regedit, because the system can not start. I will try to reset BIOS to default and then do what you say.
And BIOS -> Security -> System Security and make a photo.
DeathBringer,
I was trying to boot with old processor and with new one, but could not do it because of error message.

The same situation is after loading default BIOS, and after reseting it with CMOS.

BIOS Security options you can see on the photos. With new processor the System security with 3 poins, and with 2 points (without VTd) with old processor.

And I have error mesage with Xeon:
2224-EIT Failure Embedded Security must be available to launch VA

And with old processor the error mesage is
2213-EIT Failure. Hardware for VA support not present. Ensure Intel AMT is enabled and a VT-capable processor is installed.

And now I can't boot DOS from USB. I press F9 to load Boot menu, but only can see the error message.
