Bios Mods -The Best BIOS Update and Modification Source

Looking for a way to get rid of the whitelist so I can run a different wifi card (intel 7260HMW) also would like to run a larger ssd and more memory.. this whitelist stuff is for the birds. Reading up on modding this bios myself, but i'm in over my head. Any help would be appreciated, and I am willing to donate for a working unlocked/de-whitelisted bios.

I fully acknowledge that I am asking for help that could damage my system and I am willing to take a risk to make this computer mine!

I'm also after this mod too. The wifi cards in these laptops are truly awful.

Yes they are, I tried running the 7260HNW by hotswapping it while in sleep mode and it worked great until I had to restart the laptop. It's incredibly how much a difference that 35.00 card made. I've been seriously debating returning the laptop and upgrading but it has SO much potential for upgrading on the cheap..

Count me in as well. What a bummer. I have 3 of these things that I bought refurbed and the WIFI is TERRIBLE. I will never buy Lenovo again mostly due to the whitelist thing. How stupid.

The Yoga 2 11 has a truly awful stock wifi card. Drops out all the time....

It seems the OP has referenced a valid BIOS upgrade, so it seems the BIOS is flashable. What do we need to do to remove the whitelist check, or add a card to the list?

Like most, I suspect, I'm trying to add the Intel 7260 AC plus Bluetooth HMW.
