Mercury ME945WW board AMIBIOS version 08.00.13 update
#11
GREAT!!! Big Grin I thought maybe software was detecting wrong due to that negative, but that high temp looked more normal and was too hot. Glad you had all the tools on hand and were able to redo the thermal paste easily Smile

Thanks, yes, that would be great if someone would pay me to be a doctor Big Grin

On DRAM freq, do you still have the old memory? If yes, put it in and check again, does memory go back up to higher multiplier/speed?
If yes, dump both old and new SPD and upload for me to look at, we may need to edit the new one to allow proper speed selections.
You only need to put in a single stick of each, one at a time, to do the dump. I only need one dump, from each kit (1 each from old kit and new kit)
Use this tool, open, then use File >> read memory SPD, then File >> save - http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil...4226790304

OK attached are two zipped SPD files -
DDR2-667.zip - DDR2-667 PC2-5300 ram
DDR2-800.zip - DDR2-800 PC2-6400 ram
Both reading were saved using one stick.

Attached Files
.zip   DDR2-667.zip (Size: 254 bytes / Downloads: 1)
.zip   DDR2-800.zip (Size: 251 bytes / Downloads: 1)

Thanks for the SPD dumps, having these, and looking back at both your CPU-z images with the 667 and 800 memory, neither ran at their full speed (The old 667 kit also ran at 533MHz (266) too). And each of the kits profile for 266 are not at the same location/#, so this is not caused by the BIOS choosing a particular profile either, it's just manually set/programmed to this speed.

So the BIOS is locked to this speed, I will check BIOS again and see if I can find/change that, but I doubt I can find where it's being set since this is not a current BIOS option (even hidden). Even if I edit SPD and remove all the tables except the 400/800Mhz, or set all to be/match 400/800 it will still run at 266/533 due to BIOS set this way.
