Alienware M15x
#41
Hi,, I used the Zipeg to get to these 3 files:
Extracting W6702MB.A09_SLIC.bin
Extracting W6702MB_SLIC.A09
Extracting W6702M_SLIC.A09

I'm not sure where to go from here.

I am trying to get my Alienware mx15 to 16 GB (installed hard) but it only says 8GB.

Am I even on the correct path?

Thank you Please... help!

Mine is on 16GB without a bios mod. If your 16GB (2x 8gb) doesn't work it may be because one of the sticks is faulty or that particular ram isn't compatible. I used Crucial CT102464BF1339.C16 sticks and 16GB working great Smile

Hey I see this bios mod is quite old so a couple of questions:
is this mod for the original Alienware m15x or the DELL Alienware m15x ?
Is there a thread and/or guide to help carry out the mod?

Thanks !

Hello,

I just read the posts and ... I don't understand which file I should use to flash the bios of my alienware m15x (i7 940xm and 780m gtx).

when I unzip the folder I have this:
Extracting W6702MB.A09_SLIC.bin
Extracting W6702MB_SLIC.A09
Extracting W6702M_SLIC.A09

Which file should I run?

Thank you in advance for your help Smile
