General Gynamics IX325 (i915gms/i910GML)
#1
Hello-

I was hoping if someone could help me find out if it is possible to modify the bios on the General Gynamics IX325 Tablet to power on when AC power has been applied. This is not from hibernation but from a coldstart.

The bios file can be found here.

http://www.gd-itronix.com/upload/softwar...2.0275.EXE

Please let me know if any other information is required.

Thank you very much,

That is pretty much what I thought by looking at it with AMIBCP, but since I am just at beginner at bios editing I figured that it was worth asking someone else.

Would it be possible to use another bios from similar hardware or is that an impossibilities? I am under the impression that AMI bios’ are not universal to all hardware. Is this correct?

Some Oem Boards have retail equivalents and its not unheard of that people flash the retail bios and it works just fine. Also , theres a few attempts at flashing normal bioses with premium version eg standard asus boards with the deluxe bios etc. However , this is VERY risky and can result in a unrepairable board. The motherboard manufacturer designs the bios based on teh board , so as you say , AMI bios' are not universal.

So dont try it!!!
