Abit KN9 Ultra AM3 support Request
So, what are you trying to say, cjcjjjjdd?

I'm interested about this bios mod too! Smile Is there any news about it?

The bios files for KN9 boards are still available from abit - you get 404 errors when you try to search for the board but if you find the product page (using google site:abit.ws [productname]) then click bios on the right and download.

I've noticed that from the KN9 range, the KN9S, KN9 SLI, KN9 ULTRA have the identical bioses, but KN9 is different (can someone confirm this?).

Also it would appear KN9 Ultra has already been modded:

http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/903511/all

So it should be easy to mod this as well for the KN9S, SLI and ULTRA boards?

If we could only get one of the guys to take a look at this I'm sure they will be able to do this.

KN9 used nForce4/500 ultra instead of a real MCP55-based nForce550/570/590.

If I remeber correctly I found the thread you posted containing the modded BIOS even before getting to this forum. Just replacing the AGESA-Version isn't enough, if I understood TheWiz correctly, you have to change more, since the original BIOS isn't even up to more than two cpu cores.

Anyway, I have given up already but am still using the board because atm I see no sense in upgrading. There seem to bee a lot of interested users, so if any of the pros here sees a chance to do a successful mod I'm still in for testing.

I'm just interested if there are actually any successful modes known in this forum.

Hello,

I have this board with AM2 CPU 6400+

I was interested in Properly enabling the AMD-V in BIOS in order to use it with Microsoft Hyper-V but I found out ( http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Foru...a30a684dc/ ) that I need to set it to Disabled in order for the option to be Enabled. BUT after creating first VM - it didn't want to start.

So now I am also interested in adding ECC DDR2 support - I have spare 4x4 modules.

Thank you.

Is it really possible? I have that mbo ( abit kn9 ultra ) and was looking all over internet for bios update to support am3 cpu's. Or should I be better off with a new board and cpu?

Hello
I own ABIT KN9-SLI motherboard with nForce 570 SLI chipset.
Does any one own BIOS which will support AMD Athlon II X4 640 quad processor?

Thanks

All the dropbox links here are dead. I'm interested in taking a look at one of these modded BIOS files. Anybody here that can supply one of these?

Sleepy
