I have updated my father in law's z580 with this BIOS because it wasn't accepting the wifi6 card I bought.

It works great except the brightness settings, yet, the screen brightness setting wasn't working before the update with the bios version 5FCN30WW too. It is using windows 11, so I am fairly certain that brightness has nothing to do with the BIOS.

Many thanks. Now, he can watch his favorite shows in his 13 years old laptop without any issue.

For anyone that has the same issue i had on the z580,
Bios: Stock 5FCN95WW
I tried to upgrade my Ram, afterwards a bizarre error occured. It would only boot up once, after that trying to start the machine, it would try to boot and a few lights pop up and it turns off in a loop forever. Reseating the ram and i was able to boot into windows again but only once. Turning off the machine and trying to start it again and the same error occured with the boot lights loop. Reseating the ram and i could boot into windows again but only once.

Searching everywhere on the internet and i found out that its possibly a Bios setting issue with the ram. Stock Bios has no settings for ram so i flashed the bios with mod bios v3.1 and it works again now.

Might help other people with Ram reseating/ position swapping issue
