can you make a dump of your bios with this tool: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads...up-Toolkit
and upload the file.

Hi there,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Here's a backup of the Bios.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20996931/Insyde-F.23.rom

Last night I made the backup, opened it in eh2o2 (which loaded it), and used my WinHex to edit the entire Ram, however I had troubles finding the correct place to edit. In other words I got lost. lol.

Thanks for all your help.

Hi TTAV134,

Was the dump available via dropbox? If not I can post it elsewhere if you like.

If it's being a tricky bios, perhaps I can compare it to other versions and determine what's common and whats changed. I would assume the whitelist should be somewhat static since they haven't listed any revision changes to the supported wireless cards.

I wasn't able to resolve the bios whitelist.

So I ended up giving the machine to a co-worker and purchasing a new HP Envy 14. Smile

Sorry to bump a couple week old thread, but I have a HP Touchsmart TM2-2151nr that uses the same BIOS linked above. I've done a dump of my BIOS with the tools linked above in case it's still needed http://www.multiupload.com/E7XQSNZ8II Anyway, thanks for any help you may be able to give.

Any way to replace a ven/dev with another on the 2mb BIOS files that you know of?
