[Unlocked] Alienware M17xR3 BIOS unlock for A06/A07
#11
let me get u some picks...it appears to be working well...there is just a longer than usual pause when you attempt to enter setup. I mentioned the frozen cursor previously, it shows up in the same position for a moment then setup opensSmile

Ok , I'm waiting for some pics to let me see if all options or menus are unlocked .

I hope these photographs are clear...although I do not see the ability to attach multiple files to a post/reply?
Select+Add Attachment+insert Into Post...took a second to see how the GUI was set up! I hope these are what you need? I can supply more if needed.
There are (2) Advanced tab's after the mod. The one near the center being the "revealed" options. The A04 mod I have is identical, except it has an "Advance" menu and then reveals the hidden "Advanced" menu. Thank you very much for your effort...I will get the donation to you first thing in the morning.

Did you find any of the bios options to help with the 580m throttling issue?

Unfortunately I think the OP is confused. A04 is the only BIOS that supports the 580M that DOESN'T throttle via the Dell BIOS. A05+ all throttle on the BIOS level.

A04 lets your GPU get slightly hotter but then the card's vBIOS kicks in with another throttle.

We need A08 with the throttle removed on the BIOS level, or A04 with whatever crazy certificates are in A05+ for the 3D support (Most of us using the 580M have 3D).

AHMED, I have been out of town and just returned...of course I will send you the needed pics...take a few minutes. LVNeptune's post here is interesting. Although I do not have 3d...I do agree that A08 Unlocked with the throttle removed is probably the way to go?

Check this thread out

http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienwar...issue.html

A04 doesn't throttle but it goes up to the card's throttle which is in the mid to high 70's I believe. anything above A04 throttles lower unfortunately.

please post a link to the AO4 bios if you want me to unlock it .

also i have unlocked power ans advanced tabs inside the AO7 and this will be the same options for the A04

Here are some of the requested pics...more to follow....I actually have A04 mod (no access to the original) I can post if needed.
2nd follow-up on requested picsSmile
follow-up 3 for pic request.
this is the last pic...the lighting is causing some distortion...I can always just break out the digital SLI if needed...I hope these work?
