im requesting my whitelist for wlan card be removed. my machine is a lenove z585, with a 60cn93ww.cap oem bios.

old wlan card is Ven_168c, Dev_0032, Subsys_321817aa, Rev_01
new card is, Ven_168c, Dev_0034, Subsys_20031a56, Rev_01

I have attempted to mod this for about a year now. im at my wits end, have Andyp's tool, IDA pro, HxD think i have the lock narrowed down to sub_660? tried to nop the infinite loop for the test rax, rax. ok, my head is starting to hurt again...

really just wanting the whitelist removed i have lost one wifi card already, and dont want to have to do this again if i loose another one... why does lenovo have to make things so hard to fix?

one more quesion, is it worth unlocking the hidden tabs in the bios, anything good in there? whats our advise?

Do you have to specify details of an exact WiFi card to be inserted into the bios or can it be left completely open to any card that is compatible. I am suffering this same Z585 fate, and need to do the same to be able to use a decent card. Tied to the wall with a 20m Ethernet is no fun

Well I'm officially flumoxxed. I tried in vain to do the process, but I think my brain is more suited to modding hardware.... lol.

6 hours yesterday, and now on to having a go with another tut...
