Not if You'll get an POMONA Soic Clip, You'll program Bios Directly on Board Chip !
Regards

P.S. You can find on bios-mods some infos about that.

You're right this way is a new mode where is possible to extract
from orginal Bios only Region_Bios as to Generalize for all users
this process !
It use Intel FPT tool which can write directly into eeprom bypassing many
checks !
So You will write (flag -f) Bios Region Core (bios.bin) into Eeprom for Bios Region only (flag -bios) !
That's It.
To do It You have to prepare an USB Dos Formatted Bootable Stick then copy all files from odified folder into It and Boot frm USB !
When You got C:\ (You will be in Dos Comand Line Interface) then run flash.bat
Let me know
Regards

Hi friend,
You have to try this Mod before as It works be sure !

To prepare an USB Dos Bootable :

Update from pure DOS with USB-bootable stick
See how to make one here:
http://www.howtogeek.com/136987/how-to-c...usb-drive/

https://app.box.com/s/w8xgrhpwf2nx0kamfkc0

Then copy all files from modified folder into Bios Mod file unpacked to your USB Stick
and follow instructions to rewrite Bios running comand flash.bat !
let me know
regards

Hi friend,
for Upgrade or Downgrade Bios Version 1.xx to 2.xx there are only two ways :

1. Recovery Mode
2. FPT Tool using a Generalized Bios Version

here You go for your Bios Mod Slic 2.1 + Menu Tabs Unlocked :

http://rghost.net/57834735

Let me know
Regards

Here Recovery Bios File v.2.17, prepare your USB Dos Fat32 formatted Stick,
unpack file and copy into :

http://rghost.net/57835992

Recovery Procedure :

- Performing the emergency flash

- Shutdown the netbook (notebook)
- Remove all peripheral devices
- Remove battery, Remove AC power cord
- Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds (battery and AC power still out), then release
- Put the USB Memory Stick in the USB port
- Hold "Fn" + "Esc" and plug the AC power cord in
- Now press the power button (whilst still holding Fn + Esc).
Wait until the fan will run, then release "Fn" + "Esc" keys
- The fan will run for about 2-10 minutes and the USB drive activity LED will blink
- I think the netbook rebooted automatically. If it doesn't, unplug the AC power cord once the fan has turned off

The bios should be updated with the modified BIOS, and boot as per normal.
