Hi,
I hope it is ok to dig this old thread out.
My notebook is a very similar model with the exact same BIOS, I have just installed a newer version:

-Manufacturer: HP
-Motherboard Model: Probook 6555b
-Bios revision: F.60
-Bios Type: 68DTM
-Bios Download Link: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/publi...id=4174259&swItemId=ob_157479_1&swEnvOid=4059

I bought a programmer and it looks like I was able to successfully read out the chip

Is it possible to remove the whitelist?

EDIT: Found this thread and was able to do it by myself: https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-H...st-removal

Hello,

I'm a total newbie in this section.

I've got a ProBook 6555b from HP with a BIOS Version F.60.

I need to change the Wi-Fi Card for an AC one and I always get the message that it's not supported.

Is someone out there who can modify my BIOS and remove the Whitelist?

Thanks,

Is there any way we can find out how to open Advanced Bios?  Is it the same as the others?  Boot up & press ESC & then F10 & immediately press A.

I want to mod the BIOS so the system memory is Unganged?  can you check it in CPUz?  My Laptop hasn't arrived yet.  Unganged is a lot faster than ganged dual channel (2x faster memory speed over ganged dual channel).
