[REQUEST] Acer Aspire E3-111 Unlock VT-x, AHCI, Advanced Menu
#1
Rainbow
Hi,

I have an Acer Aspire E3-111-c7q5s. I need VT-x, AHCI and Advanced menu.

Current bios is v1.11 here: Bios Link

(update) I created a dump of the bios: http://www.mediafire.com/download/1qzrdd...-V1.11.zip
RWE Report: http://www.mediafire.com/view/1oazzuyy9hhlc2l/SMBIOS.rw

All I really need is the set_var options, or just the menu dump so I can see which variables need setting.

Trying to get Deepin linux with ssd working on this laptop and the bios is killing me, for a supposedly 'linux laptop'.

Tq!

Question
So umm, it's been over 24hrs. Is there some extra info that's needed?

I'm trying to do it myself, but I'm having trouble finding a recent version of the Phoenix Tool (v2.53 or newer) and uefidump.pl....

Any help or pointers are appreciated.

I almost got it, but I'm stuck. I've found the ROM for the SetupUtility FABDD96B-2DDD-4747-9612-F9E777C84A38_708.ROM, but I'm unable to find uefidump.pl or anything to dump out the data in a nice format. Any ideas?

(update) I was able to use the universal IFR extractor: http://pastebin.com/YAmU8TqY

Any thoughts on what the vars are I need to set?

Thank you! That's pretty easy, almost everything is disabled in this bios.
Here are the screenshots: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s91/sh/ef...f0ded46aaa

Here's the extracted bios from the archive: http://www.mediafire.com/download/bmjg5a...a/bios.zip

Thanks again for your help!
