I know its late but there is a solution to your problem.
you need some tools for working with your bios, the vpcf2 bios boot section can be completely unlocked, but the other sections require a work around. first you will need specific versions ami tools which i can help you find later if you need.
The work around is to flash a modded bios with say ahci disabled in optimal settings only, than when you load the bios, select default optimal settings ide or raid will than load which ever you configured. the tools you need are for an ami aptio bios. I will see if I can look up the specific versions and ad another post with instructions and how to obtain those.

Hello, when you installed it did you remove the old BT along with the wifi card?
thay are separate and I think both should be removed if you want a combo card to work properly.

Let me know and Ill see what can be done, I havent worked with that laptop in a while, but I still remember a few things.

Hello, can you find a program called
"Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0.exe" on the internet and download it?
it will alow you to make a rom immage of your sony bios so I can look at it
it is also the first step in modding the bios, if it indeed needs to be altered.

If you can look at some software solutions to your problem first, like is bluetooth enabled?
Does the bt hardware show up in windows device manager? even on a combo card they will need separate drivers, also make sure the new card is properly installed, if it is not in the device manager it might be a faulty card or the BT might have been shorted somehow also.

go ahead and grab the three files here, 2 are for flashing the bios in windows x64, and the other is a modified bios file
renamed it to v4 to avoid confusion
ether way you can flash the bios, load default settings and the effects should take effect.
btw do you have a 2d or 3d monitor model?

Update:
Tried to update ... -> Read the blocks for main bios image and then .. ->3-Error:Rom file size dos not match existing bios size.
At Setup tab i have checked only the Main bios Image.
Any clue what happen?
Velos73

By the way my monitor support only 60hz (I OC it At 85Hz) so no 3D for me Smile
