open a CLI rith right Administrator and use cd comad to go in directory with all files or copy it to c:\ (your drive c: it's more easy for U).
then let me know when ready

Yes, that's what I did (I think):

cmd.exe, right click with admin rights
change directories to "modified" (this is where i copied everything)
now fpt and i get a message box:
"Unsupported 16bit application" (in german)

ok, slamming the brakes :-)

First FPT Download is DOS-Bootable?
Or find DOS USB bootable on the net?

I want to show You what is the result of your test :

Intel ® Flash Programming Tool. Version: 9.5.14.1724

Total Accessable SPI Memory: 8192KB, Total Installed SPI Memory : 8192KB

FPT Operation Passed

Total Accessable SPI Memory: 8192KB, Total Installed SPI Memory : 8192KB

And look the picture result2..png in result folder and You'll see read and write full passed.

I think that You have reflashed original now and Descriptors are setted giving the Write memory lock.
If You can do a new test with new_backup_FPTs.exe we will look the difference as It's impossible that We cannot write eeprom FPT is much powered.

It's the same, when You do a Recovery Bios your USB must be DOS Formatted
Bootable (contains files Dos for boot) .

So that You used for Recovery is good !

It's an HP USB Tool cracked to do this job use Dos internal.

http://rapidgator.net/file/aed7999f2b7fe...W.rar.html

I'll be back between 10 minutes, solet me know what's happened.
regards

Yes, I installed the v2.13 again with the stock Insyde flash tool before i did anything again and yes, I have seen the outcome.
I don't know what you mean wit descriptors.
I'll make DOS USB Stick now and let you know.

Sorry, for the long break.

Ok, here is the result:

I renamed the biosbackup.bin to biosback.bin and modified the flash.bat accordingly. (In MS-DOS it's only 8.3 filenames...)

I ran flash.bat. First run causes Error 28 again: Protected Range...
Then prr
Then FPT again this time successful. See (real) screenshots.
Big Grin

I rebootet successfully and entered BIOS.

It still looks exactely the same - should I already have advanced options?!
