and copy all "modified" folder's files into USB then reboot using USB stick to boot in DOS safe mode and launch flash.bat comand from Coman line e.g. c:\flash.bat (enter).
Let me know, but remember it's a mod only for your laptop as is based on your backup data !!! and applied to an other same model it will brick as it would have inner data !

I don't understand You have only used FPT comand (or flash.bat) and Laptop Bricked ?
It's first time I saw that, I saw user whose after unlocked Menu Tabs have change setting deeper and Bricked !
Let me know detailing what is happened
I will try to get your Bios Recovery File to use with !

EFI / Insyde BIOS
Recovery filenames are:

VIWGPX64.FD

SLIC header found in 7E374E25-8E01-4FEE-87F2-390C23C606CD_1232.ROM at 0

OEM/Table IDs identified are:
1. INSYDEH2O BIOS
Header (INSYDEH2O BIOS ACPI) (x1)
Pubkey (x1)

I hope It will work for Lenovo (I haven't so far Lenovo Recovery)

For Lenovo Recovery You have to find the right Keys combination as Fn + ESC or Fn + B or Fn + R !

So format and USB Stick Dos Fat32 then copy Bios Recovery File VIWGPX64.fd into and try to use recovery mode :

http://rghost.net/55566290

Hold down Fn+R keys and while holding press the power button
Now you should hear the DVD drive working or usb blinking, hold the keys for a while.
Leave the computer for few min. and if the computer does not restart it self turn the power down.
If everything went OK the computer shold start normally.

Let me know
regards

I was also looking to mod my G500 BIOS so I could get at the settings for VRAM (to increase it). Can I upload my BIOS for a patch. (I learned of this about 3 wks. ago when rebooting into BIOS and these settings were made available. Must be a flag was set accidentally during shutdown-reboot.) Any help out there for me?
I have the backup of the BIOS from the Insyde Flash utility for version 2.01 and 2.03. I'd prefer the 2.03 BIOS, but I saw that 2.01 has already been modded by BDMaster.

Hi friend,
the two versions are almost the same so gave same Mods, I can do both without problem !
We can use Files You uploaded so I will extract a Bios Generalized version and I will Mod It or You can do a Bios Backup of your Bios 2.01 or 2.03 which do You want and then I will Mod It !
I can suggest to use first one You have got on laptop now and then try the second !
Let me know, how do You want to do, but use this tool, run It as Asministrator and upload here the result file :

Use thistool too and upload result file here :

Just found your reply. You are awesome doing this for me. I'm a programmer, too, but BIOS is way out of my area.
Downloading files as I reply. will post when I have required data. Since you say it's no trouble between the 2.03 and 2.01 BIOS versions, I would like to do the 2.03 BIOS. Thank you very much. Big Grin

PS - Are you saying these two BIOS files are ready to flash now?
