[REQUEST] Dell Optiplex 330 - Xeon E5450 Update Please !
#1
I know and have seen it confirmed that the latest bios A11 for the 330 will recognize a Xeon E5440 but its slightly bigger brother the E5450 isnt the case.

I can boot and get the "CPU is not supported" and windows boots fine, just only have 2 cores active.

I have tried to do this myself but trying to find the correct locations for the microcodes is a bit tough for me in a hex editor.

Hopefully someone has done this one before. All help is greatly appreciated.

The chipset is intel G31 and bios is pheonix i beleive.

I know this post is a few months old, but in case you still need it.

At first you can try this mod with SLIC 2.1 Dell from that forum.

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but I need E0 stepping support for an Optiplex 330. The link to the 330 bios with that support is dead now.
