Dexbook LN DXI7EM8H5 - Phoenix Unlock request
#21
Hello bariccattion,

This problem could be the result of a dead CMOS battery. Try replacing it. There should be a model number on it that you can use to find a replacement.

!!!!!PLEASE READ!!!!!! Our Ukrainian friends are undergoing atrocities right now and need support. There are two things you can do for starters:

1.) Donate to one of various organizations offering medical, military, and psychological support to those impacted: Support Organizations

2.) Combat misinformation on social media.

Also, please feel free to PM me if I have not replied again about your BIOS mod request after 5 days.

Hello , I have a problem with the same bios. I have a notebook of the same brand , but the version of my BIOS does not support the installation of Windows 8.1 64-bit operating system , only the 32-bit . This version has the option of secure boot ? Because I think that with this option can install this operating system. If this BIOS version has support for Windows x64 8.1 , which configurção I switch to install this OS ??

Please help me

uhmmm, hello. Just bumping this up, Looks like I have the same notebook.
It has a sticker with mb40II5 at the bottom, rebranded by "Neo Computers" Philippines.
Can I use OP's bios?
or should I upload mine?
I have an spi flasher, but it looks like I need to desolder the chip from the board to spi it, using soic8 clip doesnt work while on board.

--edit
yes, I just uploaded mine.
The CPU ID is 000206A7, and the MicroCode Patch ID is 00000014
^ I have that same info on my bios.

here's the image: https://my.mixtape.moe/lwxdee.jpg (big image)

by the way, can we add newer microcodes to install ivy on this?
some laptops with sandy chipset were able to put an ivy cpu.

Your BIOS mod is complete! For now...

PBE cannot emulate this BIOS image and it is one of the most complex that I have ever seen in terms of number and complexity of settings. I have added a gigantic INTEL Menu (probably larger than any I have seen before). I have not yet checked to see much of what is under it. To make this less time-consuming, it would be helpful if you were to take pictures of the INTEL Menu and all of its sub-menus.

Generic Warnings/Disclaimers:
Quote:Please remember to take proper precautions when flashing your BIOS. Even if the BIOS image is safe, the flashing process can still fail. Make sure that [if applicable] your notebook is fully charged (100%), that the power adapter is properly connected, and that the chance of a power outage occurring is as minimal as possible. Do not interrupt the flashing process. If possible, it is a good idea to have a working CRISIS recovery disk handy when flashing your BIOS. Use the flashing instructions for your particular computer brand. DO NOT DO ANYTHING UNNECESSARY!!!

You assume full responsibility for any damages or inconveniences that may occur by choosing to flash, or otherwise use or misuse, this image or any of the other files within this archive.

Have fun! Smile

Please remember to post the results of the BIOS flash! Pictures are almost critical to the level of complexity of the second version of this BIOS mod.

I tried to flash it on my BIOS and it got an error code "-142 Required device or platform function is not present."

YES, IT WORKED! IT'S ALIVE!
wow it's big. I'll upload an album with all the menus and submenus in Intel, but it'll take a couple of minutes. Will edit this post when I finish.
