Link expired again. Can you to give the current version of bios. Thank you!

Alternatively You can get original Patches.txt file from CodeRush UEFIPatch Tool and add this row :

http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-UE...ge-patcher

# UEFIL05BIOSLock | Whitelist | F8=00
11D378C2-B472-412F-AD87-1BE4CD8B33A6 10 O:0376:7500

Be sure to get a space as last char of row !!!

To clear this infos :

" I did an backup with the universal BIOS Backup Toolkit.

And now i get an .rom is this right?

Because here you write from an .bin:

https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...val?page=2

When i want to get a patched BIOS i only must to to this file in the UEFI Patch folder and modify the patches.txt ?

Greetings "

Ok friend,
I write about a .bin as I prefer to use FPT Intel tool, but Universal Bios Backup is good too and just rename your file as biosbackup.bin or bios.bin then continue the procedure.
Yes Coderus UEFIPatch tool consists into two files :

UEFIPatch.exe
Patches.txt
Then your Bios Backup File = biosbackup.bin (or bios.bin)
Drag&Drop biosbackup.bin on .exe file and Yu'll get a biosbackup.bin.patched file !
This is your file then rename It as bios.bin and move It into modfied folder etc. ...

Dear BDMaster, thanks for your reply!

The fact that I have a laptop g700 too (version bios7ACN89WW). And I hope to replace wifi-module.

I thought that in your links is necessary to me a modified version of bios.

Sorry if I do not understand something.

Hi friend,
The AutoMod works basing on Bios Backup so very user can do by himself a Bios Backup and then using CodeRush tool can apply a Patch to modify own Bios and the reflash It without any Modder !
Let me know

Thank you, you are great.

so now I have:

1. dump my bios - ok,
2. patch dump via AutoMod - ok,
3. prr (under DOS) - ok,
4. fpt.exe -f BIOS.bin –bios - no luck:

Error 28: Protected Range Registers are currently set by BIOS, preventing flash access.
Please contact the target system BIOS vendor for an option to disable Protected Range Registers.

or this, if I using other version of fpt:

Error 104: The 2 SPI flash devices do not have compatible command sets.

Are you have any instruction or advice.

I'll be glad!

Hi friend,
Error 28 = Eeprom Write Protect so not possible to rewrite only using SPI PGM HW !
Error 104 = not present Eeprom Definitions so You using an FPT not adapt.
If shown error 28 then FPT is right only Lenovo protected Bios to unmoddable.
I am sorry Sad

It's interesting what You said friend "suddenly there is not more protection",
can You explain better ?
It's seems You have done something to disable Eeprom Protection, how do You did ?

Look here :

http://rghost.net/58515151

We are using prr.exe or prr2.exe to disable error 28, but sometimes didn't work !
Let me know

So.....I'm still trying to replace this piece of Ship Broadcom card. For a long while I gave up. But I was reading around today, and since the G700 bios apparently can't be modded without desoldering and eeprom programmer, then why not buy a new card, and change its PCI vendor ID to an ID that is on the whitelist? I found this suggestion in another forum, it requires no flashing, but I'm not sure if it would work. Is this feasible? Where can I get more specifics on how to do this? I have a spare card I would like to test this on. Maybe one of the gurus here will reply. Thanks!

It's the same work as WiFi Cards have a ROM containing Firmware (own Bios to work) and into is wrote the MAC, Manufacturer, Model and Others, so It's same work (desoldering try to find and modify then resoldering) !
And if You want change this card with a new one You have to redo the work on new card !
But indeed, changing into Laptop Bios do It for once all new cards !!!
