[REQUEST] Lenovo B580 (H1ETxxWW) Whitelist Removal
#31
Hello again,

I've tried a tool which has been used in another thread: FPT_BACKUP-BIOS.exe

It didn't give back any errors and created a BIOSBAKK_64.rom. Please let me know if that helps.

Many thanks

Ok I got backup, but problem is to reflash, do that tool It needs to show your Eeprom protection and which version of FPT tool is working for your laptop.
So You have to run again mine first tool (don't unpack the exe) and run as Administrator, then check result file for a .bin file ca 4 mb.4Let me know.
I will mod your Bios Backup, but We have to reflash by FPT, which one and which fparts.txt to use ?

Here HP USB Format Tool, use it to prepare an USB DOs Formatted Bootable :

http://rapidgator.net/file/aed7999f2b7fe...W.rar.html

Ok all done Bios Patched and FPT 8.1 ready to flash, copy all files from "modified" folder to your USB Stick and boot in Dos from USB :

http://rghost.net/54909732

Follow ReadMe.txt instruction to flash your Bios.
Let me know

Hey, that was a really exciting night for me. Hardest part was to get this notebook booting to DOS. But finally, I got it and flashed the modified BIOS. The new NIC is accepted and working very fine now, I have full speed connection and BIOS access is also working like before. I'm very happy that you could fix that so fast!

I believe it - you're the Master! Thank you very much for your help!

kind regards

Hi BDMaster.

Thanks for this. I was away on business and could only perform the task this evening. Here is the result.

A question: I have two absolutely identical laptops. The modified BIOS will work for both, is that right?

Any laptop has own Significant Data (UUID, Serial Machine, etc.) so if You use the same file It will work without any problem, but You'll get a clone of first on second !
So anyone have to get own Bios Backup Mod !
