[SOLVED] HP H-I41-uATX (Eton): QX6850 & Xeon Support
#31
Install your E5450.
Do Load Defaults in BIOS, save and reboot.
Make DOS USB-stick (e.g, by Rufus), download and unzip all files for the modded version of CHECKUP7 to this DOS USB-stick.
Boot from this DOS USB-stick and make a photo of the screen with results.

Post a screenshot with Mainboard tab of CPU-Z.
Install your X5355, boot with it and make a screenshot of regedit with expanded key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor\0

I know you are talking about updating processors but i was wondering if anyone knows how to get this board too run at the full 667/1333mhz? It has a E8500 3.16/6M/1333, i changed the original 2x1GB 533/8500 sticks to 2x2GB 667/1333mhz but it is still only running at the same memory speed as before 533/8500?
I changed the bios from ver5.04 too ver5.13 thinking a more later bios might help but it made no difference to the memory speeds?

Ive read HP throttle there boards to protect them so they dont actually reach the advertised max speeds?

Thanks everyone inadvance for any help!
