[Request] ideapad g700 2x spi i5 hm70 ime cleaning/unlocking i5 on hm70
#1
Hello every one. I usualy search whole internet and find everything on forums in few languagees etc.
but today i have problem that i can’t deal with myself…
I have ideapad g700 with pentium 2030m on hm70 chipset and i wish to have in that g700 intel i5 3230m. Problem go like this that put processor 30min timer and it shout-down.
I try to dump 2 spi that i have in that notebook one 2mb with intel me components and another one 4mb with bios components. After that i try to remove intel me components with me_cleaner and flash it back. In the script it show me that it leave 3 components of ime and rest is eresed before that processor act like max it was 2.6ghz and nothing above after removal of ime it shows in stress 3,2ghz (turbo) but same symptoms, shout down after exacly 30min.
I dump spi by unsolder them from motherboard put them in to soic8 adapter into my xgecu and read them after that patch them and flash it back to spi and solder them back again.
Can somone help me with that issue becouse i have two of that g700 and same specs hm70 in both and want to upgrade.
I’m adding a spi dumps for research.
Spi’s are winbound

Your laptop is based on HM70 chipset. This chipset has well known problem and can't run i3/i5/i7 more then 30 minutes.
It can't be solved by BIOS mods. Only hub replacing will help. Or you can replace whole motherboard to new one with HM75, HM76 or HM77.

Ok but if i change on motherboard that hm70 with hm76 that it goes with g700 same motherboard and only chipset is hm76? I mean desolder hm70 and solder hm76 what you think after that procedure it can works with i5? ( i have specific tools to do that procedure)

Ok then i think i order hm76 and until i got it i go silence. When i change it i will give you info how it goes and if it works and if it is a correct solution for that problem.

[update] I bought a lenovo y500 motherboard because it was dirt cheep. (Something about 10$)
With hm76 i will transplant that in place if hm70 and we will se if it is ultimate upgrade for that i5 cpu.
I will repost in 2-4days.
