#11
Just registered to the forum and following this thread. Thank you so much for your time and effort, just realized a donation hoping that this will help you to further develop this modded bios and hoping to see an fsb setting in bios to OC non extreme cpu.

Thank you again!

Hi all,

Thank you so much for your support in this project. I am working hard to ensure all Alienware laptops M11x-M17x are supported to I appreciate your help with the testing, your suggestions, and patience. Version 1 release which will be soon will hopefully unlock all of the hidden options available in this BIOS. I do not know what results this will ahve for non-extreme CPUs until it is tested. Then during version two I will proceed to start adding CPU/GPU support and tweak it the best I can. Version 2 will be considerably harder to develop, but I am hoping for the best.

To those of you who donated, thank you again. I hope I can get as many things done as is possible in this BIOS, but I appreciate your support in the site and its efforts. Hopefully this BIOS will bring some closure for users who want it to be extreme Big Grin I will be issuing your subscriber status for those who donated momentarily.

Hoping for the release tonight, I'll keep you posted Big Grin

Stumbled on this thread while doing a search for overclocking my Alienware M17x R2. I was pretty shocked to find that there are no real overclocking options in the BIOS. Strange thing is that my M15x R2 has the option to overclock the memory, but not so much on my M17x R2. What's with that crap? I can not wait until you have a link so that I (and others) can download this BIOS. Looking forward to it.

Just to let you know,

I have figured out how to create and successfully recover the r2 bios using the crisis utils.

Details will follow shortly

Hey Moo,

I really appreciate your support with the BIOS. I agree that some people definitely don't appreciate the work done all the time, but the NBR forums have been really supportive, especially you and all of the testers.

More info will come, stay tuned as alwys.

I know work when I see it and am more then happy to support some one. I edited the bios with the boot image but that was it.

NBR is supportive but it has some severe downfalls. I really like workign there and still pop in and out but I am not buying every new system just to dismantle it and post a few videos anymore

Next up ? M15x ... my fiance would love that. Big Grin
