ASUS A8jr Memory Limit 2.9GB in BIOS

Greetings,

I have this ASUS A8Jr Laptop for like 4 years now and since then i have been trying to "kinda" look for a solution online for this 2.9gb memory limit cap.

I have installed two 2gb ddr2 667mhz ram and according to the 945 chipset documentation of intel it should support 4gb of ram, even when i am looking at memory usage in task manager under windows 7 x64 by the way, it has a "hardware reserved" ram of 1.1gb i guess thats where the missing ram went. some said that by having a "memory remap" option in BIOS i might actually be able to utilize all of the ram, i was wondering if it is posible to actually edit the bios and unlock that hidden option or something? my bios is made by AMI hope you guys can help me out thanks in advance.

While its true that the Memory Remapping option may resolve your problem , unfortunately there is not a single hidden setting in this bios for us to unlock
