ASUS G71V - Notebook

Hello i have a ASUS G71V with the QX9300 processor. I wan to overclock the processor and memory in the BIOS but it's Locked. Can it be unlocked? If so can all the hidden/locked spec be unlocked?

My specs:
BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 212, 21-11-2008
SMBIOS Version 2.5

Sorry , this cannot be unlocked , however , its not the end of the world - its a quad core after all!

Get windows 7 on there and you wont need to overclock :-D

Simply because the manufactuer has chosen to remove the options instead of hide them

Sometimes , they get lazy and just "hide" the options from view , they are always there , you just cant see them. Other times , they are not as lazy and remove the features they dont make available from the bios code entirely. As none of us are Phoenix developers , we dont have access to the bios source code
