Acer Aspire M5-581T w/ InsydeH2O 2.11 BIOS mod request

Hello everyone!

I've been looking high and low on how to downgrade my BIOS on my Acer Aspire M5-581T and it seems like it's not possible (or at least I haven't found a reliable source!) I came across this website and it seems like this might be my only solution!

I am currently trying to setup my laptop as a hackintosh but it wants me to set a Video RAM size in the BIOS. When I look at the BIOS I don't see anything about adjusting any video RAM size.

Haha not too sure if it's modable or not. I saw one for the M5-581TG but no way was I going to try that! If you are able to mod it that would be awesome!!

your is an Capsulated Bios, so We have to check Eeprom Status Write Protect !
Download and unpack this tool, run It as Administrator and upload here the result file :

Ok It's possible to add Slic 2.1 Permanent ad found three Menu Tabs Lock :

08DD : 74 66 to 74 00 jz short loc_180000945 to jz $+2 ; iRST

08F4 : 74 4F to 74 00 jz short loc_180000945 to jz $+2 ; Advanced

- Performing the emergency flash:

- Shutdown the netbook (notebook)
- Remove all peripheral devices
- Remove battery, Remove AC power cord
- Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds (battery and AC power still out), then release
- Put the USB Memory Stick in the USB port
- Hold "Fn" + "Esc" and plug the AC power cord in
- Now press the power button (whilst still holding Fn + Esc).
Wait until the fan will run, then release "Fn" + "Esc" keys
- The fan will run for about 2-10 minutes and the USB drive activity LED will blink
- I think the netbook rebooted automatically. If it doesn't, unplug the AC power cord once the fan has turned off

The bios should be updated with the modified BIOS, and boot as per normal.

Thank you so much for all your help!

For some reason my laptop is not reading from my USB at all, the led on the USB drive does not blink. I tried all USB ports and also put in an SD card into the SD card slot that's built into my laptop but the laptop just keeps spinning the fan fast and does not turn off (not even after 40 minutes)

How should the flash drive be formatted and should it be bootable?

Fat32, don't need tp be bootable !
